Sarah Moore Fitzgerald

Sarah Moore Fitzgerald has been writing all her life. In 2013 she realised her dream of becoming a published author with her debut Back to Blackbrick. A decade later, she’s published seven novels for children and young adults.

She has a passion for history and has won The London Magazine’s short fiction award for her historical short story Matamoros, July 1846.

A creative writer by night, by day Sarah is a professor and teacher of creative writing at the University of Limerick. Every winter she runs the UL Creative Writing Winter School in Doolin, Co Clare, a great place for writers to gather and share the joys and challenges of the creative process together.

Sarah lives in Co Clare and loves to head to the coast to tramp along the brilliant beaches, to savour the seafood and occasionally to sit on a rock somewhere along the Wild Atlantic Way playing the tin whistle quite badly.
